December

Wow, December came before I was ready for it and now it is almost gone. This has been a really busy month. We started off the month with the Shelton Christmas parade. This year Steve put his company dump truck in. He put lights all over it and a wreath on the front grill. My sister and her kids walked with my girls and I to pass out candy and flyer's. It was a crazy time! The Christmas lights on the truck would not stay on and then we ran out of candy. Way more people showed up than we thought would. We will be more prepared next year. Kate saved the day though. She rode in the truck with her daddy. She had a bell and was looking out the window ringing it yelling, "Merry Christmas everybody!" It was really cute and no one seemed to notice the lights being out because they were watching a totally adorable 3 year old. =)
The girls had their Christmas play at church last week. They were both sheep and sang a song with the other sheep and donkeys. =) It was very cute! Miss Kate decided she needed to wear her coat the entire time and then didn't want to tie her sheep hat on. Maddie on the other hand practiced the song many times for us and was very ready to perform for an audience. That girl loves anything to do with music or dance.
This last week we have been getting snow. The kids got out of school a week early because of all the snow days. Yesterday and today we have really got dumped on with the snow. We have well over 2 feet now. They blocked the hill off in front of our house for sledding. So the girls went twice today and had so much fun! The snow plows blocked us in though. I don't think they are use to dealing with snow, you never block someones drive(at least they never did in AK). Steve will be doing a lot of shoveling tomorrow. We have Friends coming to sled. It feels like we are in Alaska again with so much snow. The girls are thrilled that they have more than just a dusting of snow to play in. We went out again tonight and Kate had snow up past her knees. She recruited her dad to pull her on the sled. Maybe we will get our white Christmas if the rain stays away. Steve says the snow can stay until Christmas but then it must go so he can get back to work. I guess I can handle that, but he has to watch out for our girls. They pray REALLY hard for snow! ;0)

What an adorable picture of your girls. It sounds like they had a great time. The snow was nice, but I'm glad that it melted. :)
