I love fall! I don't always like the rain around here, but the days that are dry, are great. The
leaves are so beautiful right now! Today, Steve and I took the girls to a pumpkin patch. The girls played in a hay maze and a corn maze, took a hay ride out to get a pumpkin and had a lot of fun. It was of course not as fun for mom and dad packing everyone and everything around, but we made some good memories and took some pictures.
Fall is the time of year I start lighting those candles around my house that smell so great. Like pumpkin spice or gingerbread...yum! Makes you want to eat them. =]] Now that the weather is cooler we are starting to think about baking more. The girls want to make some pumpkin recipes. I think we will try a cookie or soup one here soon. We are doing more crafts too. The other day we made a "thankful tree". The girls traced their hands and cut them out in fall colors. We are using them for the leaves on a tree they helped make. Each day we right something we are thankful for on a leaf(hand) and glue it to the tree. I like to think about Thanksgiving a lot more than Halloween this time of year, so we try to encourage the girls to really think about what they are thankful for and teach them about Gods blessings. We really want them to grow up knowing that God has provided for us and created a beautiful world for us to enjoy.
